After much anticipation, Royal Enfield finally brought the Super Meteor 650 out in the daylight. The bike was unveiled at EICMA 2022 and now most of the details sans the launch timeline and pricing are out. Let’s take a close look at the latest entrant from Royal Enfield from these detailed images.
A glance at the new Super Meteor 650 and its cruiser stance is very evident. Borrowing the lines from its smaller sibling (Meteor 350), the Meteor 650 sports a laid-back rider triangle. It gets forward-set pegs, a scooped seat, and the handlebar contours towards the rider.
The Super Meteor 650 carries a retro theme all around and features a round LED headlight, chrome-laden parts, and a large fuel tank as well.
It’s powered by a 648cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled motor with the output rated at 46.2bhp and 52Nm. While it’s the same engine as the other two Royal Enfield middleweights, the Super Meteor’s output is marginally lower.
On the feature front, the bike gets LED illumination, ABS, and Tripper Navigation.
The Super Meteor 650 is the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to ride on USD front forks. Its rear end comprises dual rear springs, however. For the braking hardware, the bike gets a 320mm front rotor and a 300 mm rear unit.
Royal Enfield has equipped it with a 19-inch front and a 16-inch rear alloy shoed to a 100/90 front and 150/80 rear tyre.
Like any other motorcycle from Royal Enfield, the Super Meteor 650 too will have a bunch of options in its accessory catalog. Some of them are barend mirrors, engine crash guards, machined alloys, LED turn indicators, luggage racks, footpegs, and touring handlebar too.
Royal Enfield is offering the Meteor 650 in two variants: touring and standard. And the overall colour options are Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Gray, Interstellar Green, Celestial Red, and Celestial Blue.
The bike is likely to make its official debut in India very soon at the Rider Mania 2022 in Goa.
